Charlesworth Literary was founded by Helena Charlesworth to support new and established writers as they build their careers. Based at The Chantry in Markington, North Yorkshire, the agency works across literary, TV, and film — representing playwrights, screenwriters, novelists, poets, and writers of music-related non-fiction.

The agency is committed to championing diverse voices and believes that great writing can begin, flourish, or be rediscovered at any stage of life. We have a particular interest in supporting writers aged forty and over who are embarking on, building, or sustaining professional writing careers, while welcoming submissions from writers of all backgrounds and at every stage of their creative journey.
